Description
The infection begins with SmartApeSG, initially a fake browser update campaign that evolved to use ClickFix lures ??? a social engineering technique employing clipboard hijacking. Victims are tricked into pasting malicious commands, often PowerShell, which install NetSupport RAT, a legitimate remote control software repurposed by criminals. Finally, the NetSupport RAT delivers StealC V2, an information-stealing malware.
