Description
The infection chain began with a user being directed to a SMARTAPESG CAPTCHA page. This page executed a CLICKFIX script, which retrieved an MSI installer containing the NETSUPPORT RAT. The RAT files were immediately saved to the system but were only executed and started after a 10-minute delay via a scheduled task, ultimately leading to the STEALCV2 stage (presumably data theft).
