Description
SmartApeSG, also referred to as ZPHP or HaneyManey, is a malware strain that masquerades as a legitimate browser update, tricking users into downloading malicious scripts. The infection process typically involves executing a fake update script that leads to the installation of the NetSupport Remote Access Trojan (RAT), allowing attackers to gain unauthorized access to the victim's system. Once installed, the malware can steal sensitive information, including credentials and personal data, while maintaining persistence to facilitate ongoing exploitation.
